Eyeball to Eyeball
Eyeball to Eyeball: How Good Managers Address Issues Constructively

with guest presenter
Christine Silver, SHRM-CP

In her keynote, “Eyeball to Eyeball” Christine reveals the conversations we have in our heads and how to make sense of them. She will help you understand why so many people avoid speaking up in difficult situations. Then she makes the scary people-stuff easier to work with through her straightforward and irreverent approach to the topic.

After hearing Christine you’ll feel prepared to do the things many won’t do – give feedback that helps, solve people problems and misunderstandings, and resolve conflict, without anyone being poked in the eye.

  • You’ll learn easy-to-use templates for speaking up well in charged situations
  • You’ll take away super-simple listening techniques so people know you’re really paying attention, not just waiting to talk
  • You’ll learn how problems solving skills can be applied to people issues so you find a fix not a fight
  • You’ll receive simple tools to resolve conflicts without psychological game playing!

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Before founding her speaking and coaching business in 2005, Christine Silver, SHRM-CP, practiced Human Resources management for twelve years. Over the past decade, she has trained and coached over two thousand leaders in leadership practices, communicating constructively, implementing performance management practices, and solving people issues. Christine has a Bachelors degree from San Jose State University, a certificate of Human Resources Management from University of California, Santa Cruz, and she completed coach training and leadership development with the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) of San Rafael, California. Christine was trained by the Conflict Resolution Center of Santa Cruz and has facilitated positive resolution between individuals in organizations. Getting Creative On Hold

with guest presenter
Wayne Adams, PHMG

Think about all your favorite movie soundtracks…no two are alike, but they all have the power to inspire true emotion. Just as a great soundtrack brings a movie to life, music works wonders for your business, too.

Now, think about that on average, 75% of calls to businesses are placed on hold, and, those callers spend an average of 33 seconds waiting for someone to pick up! The best option is clearly to avoid putting a customer on hold to begin with, but this isn’t always an option. Are your customers left dangling? What are they hearing? Boring or irritating music? Your competitors radio commercial? Dead-Air? A growing number of companies are opening their eyes and ears to the potential opportunities of hold time – and are finding increasingly creative ways of using it to their advantage.

As the world’s leading audio branding agency, PHMG works with 32,000 clients across the globe. Join us on January 9, 2019 to learn from Wayne Adams how your business can benefit from getting creative with your on-hold messages:

  • It’s not advertising – it’s Service and Branding
  • Learn how to manage your service
  • Tips on how to curate custom, branded music for your personal image – no library music!

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Wayne Adams, Head of Business Development (West Coast) at PHMG, is a skilled sales professional with PHMG – the world’s leading provider of audio branding. Experts in audio branding since 1998, PHMG helps clients around the world to connect to their customers through sound – including some of the world’s biggest brands such as Audi, Coca-Cola and Adidas.
