Jolly Holiday ~ Pizza & Beer Party and Neighborhood Decorations Walk
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 8 @ 6:30 PM Pizza & Beer, 7:45 PM Neighborhood Decorations Walk
Willow Glen is a quaint neighborhood just south of downtown San Jose with tree-lined streets, a Main Street-style downtown, and eclectic historic architecture. It all adds up to what locals call Willow Glen Charm.
Join us for our monthly chapter meeting at the new community space Wheelhouse of Willow Glen. Wheelhouse of Willow Glen is a local space where everyone is welcomed and has the freedom to share in their passion. Family owned & operated and now run by the third generation! Wheelhouse also touts a tap room with 16+ local beer taps and cans with a variety of wine & spirits.
Your first drink is on us! After we enjoy pizza and beer, we’ll walk through the decorated streets of Willow Glen, starting at Wheelhouse of Willow Glen and ending at Willow Street Frank Bramhall Park, Willow Street, San Jose.
Plenty of free parking is available on Lincoln Avenue, behind Wheelhouse, on the street, and in the Bank of America parking lot a couple doors down from Wheelhouse. There’s also parking by the park at the end of the walk, on Camino Ramon & Willow, and other neighboring streets.
Bring your shop families, too! And a flashlight, too!

We all know there are many ways to get from Point A to Point B. And, we also all know as owners of businesses that repeated line, “if someone would have just told me that, then I sure could have saved myself a lot of time.”
Every owner has a long list of lessons learned. The best benefit of being a member of ASCCA is our time with each other sharing real-world examples.
So, what are some of the things that you’ve learned over the past 18-months? We’ve all become experts in disease control, sanitation, and which masks are N95’s. And, we’ve all learned some things about our businesses the hard way–who would have thought employee handbooks would be required to contain sections dealing with a pandemic in the workplace?
Let’s turn around the negative from the past 18-months and talk about the positives that have come about. Join us at our member-favorite Roundtable Discussion format for this month’s Chapter meeting.
Share your turnaround tip, innovative tool, or not-to-be-missed resource that led to you making the best decision in the past 18-months. It may be starting or stopping something, implementing a new idea, or redesigning one of your business operations. Whatever it is, we want to hear it. Come with your favorite beverage, a snack, and your best tip to share.

Are you loving the latest ‘follow you everywhere’ marketing? No one does.
What about all the emails you get that you never asked for? Nope, hate ‘em. But most everyone keeps doing it because there’s data showing a measurable return.
But what if that kind of marketing was alienating a much larger percentage of people that would otherwise buy? If they felt understood and had a good idea what the business stood for.
That’s trust, and it starts with standing in your customer’s shoes and helping them achieve their hopes and dreams.
In this presentation, we’ll talk about how to do that. Takes work, but it’s not as hard as you may think.
Key takeaways:
Learn the steps to building human relationships online, at scale – based on science, not marketing.
The key elements that must be in place and how to do that.
Start using the framework for your own business with exercises during the presentation.
