Getting from A to B – Your Best Recent Decision in the Past 18-months

Wednesday, July 14 @ 6:30 PM
Online Chapter Meeting

We all know there are many ways to get from Point A to Point B. And, we also all know as owners of businesses that repeated line, “if someone would have just told me that, then I sure could have saved myself a lot of time.”

Every owner has a long list of lessons learned. The best benefit of being a member of ASCCA is our time with each other sharing real-world examples.

So, what are some of the things that you’ve learned over the past 18-months? We’ve all become experts in disease control, sanitation, and which masks are N95’s. And, we’ve all learned some things about our businesses the hard way–who would have thought employee handbooks would be required to contain sections dealing with a pandemic in the workplace?

Let’s turn around the negative from the past 18-months and talk about the positives that have come about. Join us at our member-favorite Roundtable Discussion format for this month’s Chapter meeting.

Share your turnaround tip, innovative tool, or not-to-be-missed resource that led to you making the best decision in the past 18-months. It may be starting or stopping something, implementing a new idea, or redesigning one of your business operations. Whatever it is, we want to hear it. Come with your favorite beverage, a snack, and your best tip to share.

Build Genuine Relationships with Your Customers…at Scale: And Leave Spammy Marketing Behind

Wednesday, April 14

6:30 PM PDT – Networking | 7:00 PM PDT Program

Are you loving the latest ‘follow you everywhere’ marketing? No one does.

What about all the emails you get that you never asked for? Nope, hate ‘em. But most everyone keeps doing it because there’s data showing a measurable return.

But what if that kind of marketing was alienating a much larger percentage of people that would otherwise buy? If they felt understood and had a good idea what the business stood for.

That’s trust, and it starts with standing in your customer’s shoes and helping them achieve their hopes and dreams.

In this presentation, we’ll talk about how to do that. Takes work, but it’s not as hard as you may think.

Key takeaways:

Learn the steps to building human relationships online, at scale – based on science, not marketing.

The key elements that must be in place and how to do that.

Start using the framework for your own business with exercises during the presentation.

Planning for a Bad Day

A Layman’s Guide to Insurance & Understanding What Your Shop Really Needs

What type of policy you should have depends on many factors. Property and Casualty insurance serves in protecting your small business from lawsuits and accidents, and not all policies are the same. If you run an auto repair shop, gas station, or tow service, you might be in need of a specific type of liability insurance plan that helps insure and financially protect vehicles kept and stored on your site. A common shop owner question is, for instance, what’s the difference between Garage Liability and Garagekeepers insurance?

Join us as Michael Vawter, Get Quotes Consulting, explains this question and more with real world examples and clear, concise explanations of the different coverages a business in the automotive industry should consider purchasing. Michael brings his insights and best practices that have been compiled over his decades in the insurance industry, both with large firms and in private practice. This is presentation is one every shop owner should hear and learn from to make educated decisions about their choices in types of business policies.
